The less you resist, the more you can receive (inspiration, joy, love, flow, everything).
The less you resist, the more life-force energy can flow through you unhindered, and the better you feel.
I KNOW this. I’m learning to surrender and let go more and more.
And still, I resist things.
One BIG thing I resisted was the stupidest thing:
I MASSIVELY resisted them. For YEARS.
Partly because glasses feel uncomfortable. Partly because I’m vain. And mainly because I believe you can heal your eyesight without ever needing glasses.
I still believe that. I even bought an online program…
It brings me so much.
And not just me — there’s plenty of research about the power of journaling that shows that journaling:
👉Clears your mind
👉Helps you find answers, inspiration & insights
👉Helps you heal (on all levels, including physical!)
👉Boosts your mood
👉Helps you achieve goals / dreams
👉Helps you tune into your truth, your dreams, your fears, etc. You get to know yourself and your motives so much better
👉Helps you overcome fears, doubts, obstacles, and blocks.
But not every type of journaling delivers the same benefits.
If all you do is bitch, complain, and…
You have more power, creativity, and zest for life available to you than you’re aware of.
You feel it already.
You KNOW that more is possible for you.
It shows up as a longing for more.
It shows up in wondering if this is all there is.
It shows up in feeling frustrated because you feel there’s so much more inside you than you’re expressing.
You feel this because you ARE capable of being more, achieving more, receiving more, and having more impact!
The ONLY thing that stands in the way is you.
More specifically, your inner limitations:
But is that what you REALLY want? Most likely, it isn’t. You crave something else. You just think that more clients or more money are the ways your desire can manifest.
Focus on your true desires instead.
Ask yourself: why do I want this? How do I think I will feel when that dream is realized?
Answering those questions shows you what you REALLY want. You’ll feel it when you reached the core of your desire. A knowing calm comes over you. YES! THAT’S what you REALLY want!
Maybe you want more clients because you want to feel like what…
Because you’re afraid to ask for what you truly want.
Because you’re afraid you’ll fail.
Because you’re afraid you’ll succeed.
Because you fear you’re not worthy to receive it.
Because you doubt you’re able to pull it off.
Because you feel selfish for wanting this.
What all these reasons have in common, is this:
Because you think it’s impossible to achieve this.
Not only are you diminishing your desires, you make yourself smaller, too.
This is frustrating, draining, and completely unnecessary.
You CAN have what you truly want-or at least give yourself the chance to find out what COULD be…
Because here’s what usually happens when you don’t know what to do:
You get in your head.
You start overthinking.
Your mind gets so busy that you can no longer hear your intuition. Inspiration can’t come in, there’s no space for it to enter.
You can’t see solutions that stare you in the face because all you’re focused on is thinking that you need to think your way out of this!
But you can’t think your way out of anything. Because the best ideas NEVER come from (over)thinking.
Your best ideas come when you’re NOT…
I felt uncomfortable to say that I helped women to put themselves first. Let alone use the word selfishness!
I was afraid I would alienate potential clients when I talked about the importance of being more selfish. It felt uncomfortable and weird.
So I toned down my message. I talked about the importance of setting boundaries, saying no, and honoring your dreams & your truth. And I never said it was important to become more selfish.
But in toning down my message, I also toned down myself. I made myself and the power of my work smaller.
Until I was…
And I still often am, varying from feeling slightly uncomfortable to almost-shitting-my-pants scared.BUT …
I always said ‘yes’ to my dreams, even if it took me a while sometimes.
I never let my fears stop me.
And I never will!
Your fears don’t have to stop you either. And it helps if you know this:
Growth brings up your fears.
When you stretch into something new, a big dream or a new version of yourself, your doubts and fears come up.
Everything that could stand in your way rises to the surface so you can release it.
Feeling fear doesn’t…
This can show up in many ways. I’ll take you through 11 different ways over the next days to help you see where and how you may play small and with that, stifle your own growth and that of your business.
Toning down your looks.
Maybe you’d like to color your hair purple but you don’t dare to stand out more.
Maybe you want to wear clothes in bright colors but you only wear black because it makes you more invisible.
Or maybe you tone down the design or colors on your website.
It’s basically everything you do to make…
